Package Overview

Nepal is one of the world's most extraordinary countries — a tiny Himalayan kingdom that is home to 8 of the world's 14 highest mountains (including Everest at 8,849m), a rich Hindu-Buddhist cultural heritage, incredible wildlife, and one of the world's most dramatic landscapes. It's also extremely accessible from India — a 1.5-hour flight from Delhi, no visa required for Indians, and very familiar cuisine.

Our 5-night circuit covers Nepal's essential highlights. Kathmandu (the ancient capital with the densest concentration of UNESCO World Heritage Sites per square kilometre in the world) → Nagarkot (sunrise Himalayan views, 8 peaks visible including Everest) → Pokhara (Nepal's most beautiful city on Phewa Lake, with the Annapurna range as a backdrop) → Chitwan (one of Asia's best national parks for rhinos and tigers).

Indians do not need a visa for Nepal — entry is possible with just an Aadhaar card or Voter ID. The currency exchange rate is excellent (1 INR = 1.6 NPR). Best months: October–November (clearest views, post-monsoon) and March–April (rhododendron season).

Kathmandu — Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa (UNESCO), Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple)
Nagarkot Sunrise — 360° views of Himalayan peaks including Everest
Pokhara — Phewa Lake, Davis Falls, Gupteshwar Cave, paragliding
Sarangkot Sunrise — best viewpoint for Annapurna, Machhapuchchhre, and Dhaulagiri
Chitwan National Park — one-horned rhinos, Bengal tigers, elephant rides
Patan Durbar Square — Newari architecture UNESCO heritage
Mountain flight (optional) — 1 hour Everest views from above the clouds

Must-Visit Places

Top spots you cannot miss on this trip

Pashupatinath Temple
landmark

Pashupatinath Temple

Nepal's holiest Hindu temple on the Bagmati River — ghats, cremation pyres, sadhus, and a 17th-century golden pagoda. One of South Asia's most spiritually intense experiences.

Visit at 6am for morning aarti. Non-Hindus enter the outer temple area — the ghats viewpoint across the river is fully accessible and equally powerful.

Boudhanath Stupa
culture

Boudhanath Stupa

One of the world's largest stupas — 36m of whitewashed brick with all-seeing Buddha eyes. The Tibetan market lanes around it are full of monasteries and butter tea houses.

Walk the kora (clockwise circuit) with Tibetan monks at 6am. The morning circumambulation with prayer wheels and chanting is deeply meditative.

Pokhara & Phewa Lake
nature

Pokhara & Phewa Lake

Nepal's lakeside city with the Annapurna massif reflecting in Phewa Lake. The World Peace Pagoda at dawn gives panoramic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machapuchare.

Take a sunrise cable car to the Peace Pagoda for Annapurna views — on clear days (Oct–Nov, Mar–Apr) this is one of the Himalayan world's finest panoramas.

Nepal is everything India is but calmer, cleaner, and cheaper. The Nagarkot sunrise made my wife cry. Pokhara is the most beautiful place I've been. YlooTrips sorted everything perfectly — even the paragliding.

First international trip and it was incredible. No visa needed, familiar food, and extraordinary views. Chitwan was the surprise — seeing a rhino 10 metres away from an elephant is unforgettable.
